Margareth Ross BSc (Hons) TCM BUCM MAcS
I am a fully qualified Traditional Chinese medicine practitioner with nearly ten years experience. I am also qualified in facial rejuvenation acupuncture and cosmetic acupuncture. I am a fully insured member of the Acupuncture Society.
I have had the opportunity to learn and qualify in facial rejuvenation acupuncture with a leading teacher in this field, Virginia Doran. Furthermore, I have studied and qualified in cosmetic acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading.
As part of my degree, I spent three years undertaking clinical practice at the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine and the NHS Pain Clinic at the Whittington Hospital, North London. I was also fortunate enough to have the opportunity to learn and experience Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture as it is practiced in China today. During my six month clinical placement in two hospitals in Beijing (Xiyuan Hospital & ZhongRi Hospital) I was able to observe and learn from highly experienced doctors, trained in both Western and Chinese Medicine.
Since graduating in 2008, I have undertaken a variety of further education, continued professional development courses, to build upon and deepen my knowledge. This included a seminar series given by Andrew Nugent-Head of the Association of Traditional Studies (ATS) and Dr. Bisong Guo who is a Qi Gong master, who has been hugely inspiring through her work with cancer patients and Taoist approach to life.
In January 2019, I qualified as a Level 2 Reiki practitioner under the guidance of Reiki Master Mr Andros Michael, allowing me to incorporate this amazing healing system into my practice of Chinese Medicine.
I am also an Independent Consultant for Neal's Yard Remedies, incorporating their natural and organic products into my practice.
In addtion to my private practice, I also see patients at the Ashdown Clinic in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire and at Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine in Highgate.
As part of my work with Asante Academy, I have spent the last two years providing maternity acupuncture to patients at the NHS Whittington Hospital day labour ward, where I specialised in treating a variety of ante-natal health issues and in assisting during the childbirth phase.
